MAXION — a brand with tradition.
The company MAXION® Jänsch & Ortlepp GmbH was founded in July 1990 by Mr Maximilian Klumpp, managing partner of the Otto Häfner GmbH & Co. KG (IXION) Hamburg.
The origin of MAXION® Jänsch & Ortlepp GmbH lies in the former „VEB Pößnecker Spannwerkzeuge“, which has consisted in turn of 3 companies.
In the early 90’s we were producing drilling machines of the brand IXION in Pößneck and as well were working as a supplier to the parent enterprise based in Hamburg.
At the same time we further on produced traditional chuck tools for craftspersons and do-it-yourselfer.
In 1996 we startetd very successful to set up a wagework centre for deep hole drillng, which is enlarged and constantly amplified until current date.
Almost at the same time niche products like hinch- and rail drilling machines for bulk buyers were included in the programme.
In 1997 the brand UNIMAX was formed, whose product range is highly accepted on the market.
In 2001 the MAXION Werkzeuge u. Maschinen GmbH was selled to Auerbach Maschinenfabrik GmbH.
In 2005 all conventional bench-, column- and thread cutting machines including the product liabilities of the IXION-group were undertaken by the MAXION Werkzeuge und Maschinen GmbH.
In 2006 the investor group MKS stepped into the the IXION-MAXION-AUERBACH group an took over the majority.
At mid-year 2006 the decision was made to sell the MAXION Werkzeuge und Maschinen GmbH.
At April 4th 2007 the contract of sale was signed by the former employees Norbert Jänsch and Hartmut Ortlepp.
Since April 20th 2007 the MAXION® Jänsch & Ortlepp GmbH is acting very successful on the market.
